Day 0 — Why I'm building a Shopify app in public
This is entry one of a build-in-public journal. Every post will follow the same shape so it stays honest:
- What I shipped since the last entry
- What broke (and what it cost me in hours)
- What merchants said — real quotes, not vibes
- The numbers — installs, paying merchants, MRR, hours spent
The problem
Write the one-sentence problem your app solves and who has it.
The target
Name the number, e.g. "50 paying merchants × $29/mo by December".
Rules
- No entry without at least one number.
- Every "it's not working" gets an activity count before a redesign.
- Ship first, polish later.
